Orvieto to Argentario – bike & hotel

Local cuisine, nature, archeology and art combined to relax on the lake and sea with many cultural visits from Orvieto to Capalbio on an ever-changing route with every mile. From the Calanchi Valley, the ‘dying city’ carries the signs of a far past. Beaches and fishing towns will lead us to the discovery Bolsena and it’s lake. In the Marta River countryside we will find Tuscania, guardian of two of the first examples of the Early Christian Basilica. Old roads immersed in nature will lead us to the coast. The excavations of the town of Vulci a complete Etruscan city discovered by chance at the banks of the River Fiora. The Tuscan Maremma will frame the magical world of the French sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle with its colossal works dressed in brilliant colors that blend with the surrounding nature and reflecting it, driving us into a free path from structures and everything to invent. The sea breeze makes us feel the coast and with her a free day of relaxing at the sea or cultural visits. We will climb again to explore the excavations of the city of Cosa and for a naturalistic-archaeological excursion to the Feniglia and the Lagoon of Orbetello.
