Day 1: Marina di Punta Ala – Porto Azzurro
We wait for you at Marina di Punta Ala at 4.00 pm and set sail at 5.00 pm for Elba Island. During the journey, you will learn the first rudiments of sailing. We will then give a group presentation, explaining everything you can look forward to on the trip, followed by dinner on board the boat. We will then spend a pleasant evening together in Porto Azzurro.
Day 2: Excursion by bike — Capoliveri promontory – loop tour 35 km – 22 ml
After a hearty breakfast, we leave the boat and get on two wheels. Off we go with our guide to cycling into Elba Island. You'll notice scents of aromatic herbs and a light sea breeze as you cycle through vineyards and olive groves, small villages, breathtaking landscapes, and hidden coves. We will learn about the island and taste the wines and typical products on a visit to a local farm. A nice cool bath at the end of the ride will give us the energy to enjoy an evening on board the boat, with a nice meal and a few drinks.
Day 3: Sailing Day — Porto Azzurro – Marciana Marina
This whole day is dedicated to sailing the sea around the island. Rest your cycling muscles and try out your sea legs. Swim in the tranquil waters and enjoy a spot of sunbathing in the afternoon. We will also have the opportunity to practice sailing with our experienced skipper. In the evening, you will be free to explore the shops in the port and the excellent local bars and restaurants.
Day 4: Excursion to Monte Capanne and free afternoon
This is a day to remember, with the ascent to Mount Capanne by cable car, up to its peak (1019 meters above sea level) — the highest point of the island. From here, you'll have a 360° view of the island and the entire Tuscan Archipelago, all the way to Corsica and mainland Tuscany itself. Around midday, we will descend again, to sea level. In the afternoon, you will have some free time. In the evening, we will stroll along the port town where we will dine in a seaside restaurant. This is also where we'll be moored, so it's only a short walk home in the evening.
Day 5: Bike Tour Procchio-Portoferraio 35 km
The day will be dedicated to the discovery of the north of the island where Napoleon sojourned in 1814. We will visit the two Napoleonic residences: Villa dei Mulini and Villa di San Martino. We will also visit the village of Portoferraio and the archaeological excavations of the Villa Romana delle Grotte. We will spend the evening on board, enjoying a good aperitif and an excellent dinner at sunset.
Day 6: Excursion by bike: Pianosa Island 18 km
By transfer, we reach the Port of Marina di Campo and take the ferry to the island of Pianosa. Here, we will be provided with bicycles to explore the island and we'll be accompanied by a local guide. We return to the Island of Elba in the late afternoon where we will find our boat waiting. We will have an aperitif followed by an excellent dinner, cradled by the tranquil sea.
Day 7: Pto Azzurro – Punta Ala
On the last day, we will dedicate it to refining our sailing skills. We will also enjoy many dives into the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We will also coast the island in search of isolated coves. At the end the day, we will sail to Punta Ala. In the evening, we will enjoy a group dinner in one of the port’s restaurants.
Day 8: Punta Ala
After breakfast, this cycling and sailing tour is officially over.
